David Ciampi

A Lifetime of Service to Those in Need

Dr. David Ciampi is a psychotherapist and social scientist, specializing in treating economically disadvantaged adult populations suffering from mental and emotional health disorders.

After completing an undergraduate degree from John Carroll University in 1982, he earned Master’s Degrees from the New School for Social Research and Walden University. He also earned a PhD in Media Ecology from New York University and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Walden University before embarking on a full-time career treating patients.

He has been a guest speaker in a myriad of countries on psychological trauma and is the author of numerous works on the subject. He is the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Distinguished Service to the Graduate Students Organization at New York University, as well as awards and citations from other organizations. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Adelphi University, City University of New York, Long Island University and the International Homeland Security University Project.

Dr. Ciampi was born and raised in Springfield and has long been active in serving indigent populations in Springfield.
